Frequently Unasked Questions (FUQ)
What tools or media do you use?
All of my drawings are created with Alias Sketchbook Pro on a tablet pc. This is the closest thing I have found to pencil on paper - not very adventurous in a digitial media sense but it works for me. I started out using just a mouse and some low end art software (Arcsoft Photostudio) and did this for quite some time, with predictably lousy results.
How are the drawings created?
Usually I start with a woman's face, almost always with a certain strong expression of pain, shock, anguish, anxiety, distress. No doubt there could be some more variety there. But that is the "seed" that provides the motivation for the rest of the drawing. I know that it goes against most figure drawing principles - generally the figure should come first.
Very often I don't have a clue as to what the picture will look like in the end. I just draw and develop ideas as I go along. Often there is a male figure present, though my male figures need a lot of work - maybe because I concentrate on the females. Backgrounds, if any, are sketchy. Usually by the time I get to the background I'm on to the next drawing. Then, if I think the drawing is worthy, I will go back to it and work on it some more. But I have a really hard time "finishing" a drawing. For each finished drawing, I may have started another dozen or more.
Why do you only draw white women?
Actually, I only draw white women 99% of the time. Like many others, I'm all for equal opportunity - I just don't practice it. Not that there's anything right about that.
Do you ever draw real people?
The only times I have ever drawn a real person were at the request of that person herself (only women have asked), and only after careful consideration. Sometimes guys send me a picture of their girlfriend or whoever and ask me to do something with it, and the answer is always no. Celebrities are also off limits. Not that my likenesses are all that great to begin with.
Do you take requests or commissions?
I take suggestions, but without any guarantees.
What do you get out of this?
Let me make it clear that I do not make one cent off of this. Of course, one reason I do it is so that others can view and enjoy my work. I had been frustrated by the lack of work of this type out there (although there are of course some excellent artists like Dolcett and lots of hentai work that I am lukewarm about). Through my websites, I have been able to connect with other people (male and female) who have the same fantasy interests.
What do you do in real life?
I'm a late-night talk show host.
